Astraea's family is an established line of Wizard's and Witch's, though it's more prominent on her mothers side. Her mother being Canace Kincade, her father being Shea Tiernay. She has two siblings, ab older brother named Calis a younger sister Aithne bother. What appears to be a close family though, is sometimes just a show. Canace is often away on vacations, and Shea works for weeks on end. Calis tended to take care of his siblings for most of the part, Astraea helping with Aithne when she was old enough. Though Shea's job (as well as his family money) and Canace's family money made sure the kids had everything they'd ever wanted. The one thing Shea and Canace insisted on though was that Calis, Astraea, and Aithne associated only with appropriate people, meaning mostly pureblooded witchs/wizards kids. When it was finally time for going to school, she at first went to Durmstrang Institute. Her parents had thought that perhaps a school other then Hogwarts would give her a better chance at being the best witch she could be. By the end of the fifth year however, they decided that perhaps Hogwarts could do for the end of her studies. Astraea, though is a bit upset at leaving a place where so many of her friends are. She intends to uptake the schooling at Hogwarts, hoping they meet her level of expectation.
